Grilled Halloumi with Honey & Olive Oil

Studio Lunch Grilled Halloumi with Honey & Olive Oil

We loved having Rym of Super Yaya in New York for the launch of our summer basket collaboration. Today, she'll be heading back to Beirut to continue production.

To celebrate her last day (and Kieran's birthday!), she assembled a special studio lunch for us featuring grilled halloumi with honey & olive oil: a simple and quick Lebanese mezze. We enjoyed it with carrot salad, tomatoes, labneh, and warm man'oushe bread.

INGREDIENTS

Halloumi

Carrot Salad

Tomatoes

RECIPE

Halloumi: Grill in a pan and drizzle with honey & olive oil.

Carrot Salad: Peel and shave 3-4 carrots using a mandolin, then combine with 2 tsp. cumin and 2 tsp. olive oil. Toss all ingredients and drizzle pomegranate molasses to taste.

Slice tomatoes and add 2 tsp. olive oil, a pinch of sumac, a pinch of salt, and thyme as needed.

Serve the labneh with zaatar and olive oil, and don't the man'oushe bread.
